BEFORE YOU BUILD

Your friends aren't
your market research

Starting something new in midlife carries a different kind of pressure. You have less time, less energy, and less patience for spending six months building something that sounded good in your head but never had a buyer.

Done with the 9-to-5 grind?

Facing a major life pivot?

Carrying an idea for years?

You are looking for ways to turn what you already know into a service on your own terms.

A layoff, a health scare, or a major life change has made you rethink what you want from work, and going back to a job isn't the answer.

You’ve held onto a business concept forever and you're finally ready to find out if it's actually worth pursuing.

In the meantime, you've looked at what other people charge for what you want to build. You have thought about a website, a catchy business name, and brand colors. All of it sits in your Notes app or Google Drive.

You told three people about it, and they all said it sounds great.

But encouragement is not evidence that people will actually pay for it.

Keep building on an untested idea and you find out whether it works only after you spend your savings. An untested idea stays exactly as untested a year from now as it is today.

You don't need to keep guessing. And you certainly don't need to test it on people who want you to succeed and have no way of knowing whether it will sell.

You don't even need a social media presence, a website, or a business name. This is built for women who are still figuring out whether their idea is worth any of that.

The Idea Stress Test gives you a better first move.

What you need to find out

Identify the assumption that could change whether your idea is worth building.

Do people already spend money solving this problem, or simply complain about it?

Work out who you need to learn from and what you need to ask.

Choose a small step you can take with the time and energy you have.

Learn what separates polite interest from evidence worth acting on.

Draft an invitation to talk and questions that can uncover useful information.

WHAT WE'LL DO TOGETHER

Work on your own idea throughout the session, with a printable & fillable workbook to keep your thinking in one place.

The Customer Conversation Kit

Your test plan is ready. But what do you say when someone gives you a vague answer, or says “I'd buy that” without having tried to solve the problem?

VIP gives you guided practice before you reach out to potential customers.

LIVE PRACTICE

Practice your first customer conversations

60 minutes of guided practice plus up to 30 minutes of Q&A, held a few days after the Idea Stress Test workshop.

  • Outreach message templates

  • An interview question bank

  • A leading-question checklist

  • AI prompts to check your drafts

  • An AI role-play prompt to rehearse

Work with your own idea through practice scenarios. Sharing is optional; individual reviews aren't included.

KEEP USING AFTERWARD

The Customer Conversation Lab

Includes 30-day replays of both sessions.

  • Follow up on vague answers with useful questions.

  • Explore what someone has already tried and paid for.

  • Notice when you're pitching instead of listening.

  • Reword questions that steer people toward “yes.”

Important note: AI practice is rehearsal. Simulated answers aren't evidence of customer demand.

YOU'VE ALREADY ASKED AI

Now bring your idea
into the real world

AI can help you organize your thoughts, explore possibilities, and draft better questions.

It cannot tell you whether a real person will actually pay for what you're planning to sell.

The workshop helps you use AI as a thinking tool while bringing real potential customers into the conversation.

MEET YOUR WORKSHOP HOST

I'm Dani. I'm the founder of Glow & Grow Anyway.
Here's why I created this.

I know the feeling when you have to rethink what's next, when life doesn't go according to plan.

In August 2025, I lost my contracting job at the U.S. State Department after 8 years of teaching Bulgarian to American diplomats. With it went my health insurance and my housing. In December, I moved back to Bulgaria and started over, all while struggling through a chronic illness.

I know what it costs when money is tight, health is in the way, and energy is limited.

My professional background also shaped how I approach business ideas. Prior to teaching, I worked in business analysis and quality assurance, where asking the right questions, identifying gaps, investigating problems, and testing assumptions were part of the job.

That's the thinking behind The Idea Stress Test.

You've probably heard enough people tell you your idea sounds exciting. What helps now is a process for finding out whether it has a chance before you give it more of your life.

“A bad bet cost me once, so I look at risks before I look at possibilities.”

I built this to protect your time and your money before you spend either one.

WHERE THE IDEA FOR THIS WORKSHOP CAME FROM

From comments on the post:

I started my business by writing on Substack because it was the lowest-energy format I could manage at the time. One of my posts was about having a calling and not knowing how to make money from it. It received more than 1,300 likes and drew almost 300 comments. I read and answered every one.

Most people weren't struggling with a lack of ideas. What they were missing was a way to find out whether an idea was worth their time. More than 420 people downloaded my free guide in two months looking for that answer.

I kept hearing the same question in almost 300 comments

"I know I have the expertise. When I speak to people they always want to know more. I've asked people to peer review my work, and I'm told it's great, really useful. But the business side, how do I monetise this and get it out there?"

"I had a business idea, then it evolved into a new idea, I registered the business, created the logo and the business cards, then stopped, convinced myself (again) that it would not work."

The Idea Stress Test is the workshop I built for the women in those comments and for women like you.

ONE IMPORTANT DISTINCTION

The workshop gives you the test

The evidence comes afterward.

You won't get a definitive answer about your idea in 90 minutes. You'll leave knowing what to test, what to look for, and what to do next.

Then you take that test into the real world. What people have already tried, spent money on, or committed to tells you more than “That sounds great.”

Those findings may justify testing a paid offer. An actual purchase is stronger evidence of willingness to pay than “I would buy that.”

BEFORE YOU JOIN

This workshop isn't for you if:

  • You've already decided, and you want someone to tell you it's a good idea.

  • You're expecting a finished business plan or launch strategy.

  • You want a guarantee that your idea will work. I can't give you one, nor can anyone else.

  • You're looking for someone to do the research and hand you the verdict. That's what the Idea Investigation does.

First workshop: November 2026. Join the waitlist below to get the date and lock in your founding rate. I'll email you when registration opens.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

What if I have several business ideas and can't decide which one to test?
The workshop is designed to stress-test one idea at a time. If you're still trying to figure out which idea is worth pursuing, start with the free Idea Gut-Check. It can help you narrow things down before you come to the workshop.

What if I don't have a business idea yet?
This workshop is designed for testing an idea you already have. If you're still figuring out what you want to build, the Idea Gut-Check is the better place to start.

Do I need any business experience?
No. You don't need a business degree, a marketing background, or previous experience running a business. The process starts before you build anything.

What if the test shows me that my idea isn't worth pursuing?
Then the test did its job. Finding out that an idea needs to change, or isn't worth pursuing, before you've spent months and thousands of dollars building it can be one of the most valuable answers you get. This will give you space to redirect to another idea.

What if I can't attend live?
Standard includes a 7-day replay, and VIP includes a 30-day replay of both sessions, though the live working sessions are really what you're paying for. If you let me know at least 48 hours before a session, I'll move you to that session in the next cohort at no additional cost.

Will I know whether my business idea will work by the end of the workshop?
Not yet. The workshop shows you what to test and gives you a practical way to test it. What you learn from real people afterward is what helps you decide what to do next. You'll also get an AI prompt for sorting through your results.
Should I choose Standard or VIP?
Standard gives you a complete test plan, including your first outreach message and questions. Choose VIP if you'd also like guided practice responding to vague answers, asking useful follow-up questions, and listening without turning the conversation into a sales pitch. You'll also receive the Customer Conversation Kit and longer replay access.

A few things
you might
be wondering

If you have a different question, email me at: dani@glowandgrowanyway.com.

Your idea doesn't need your protection.

It needs information.

Before you spend more time building, give yourself a chance to find out what needs to be true.
Bring one idea. Leave with a practical stress test and a clear next step.
